Liam loves his bath time. He even smiles when I shampoo his hair! (not for the camera though)

He's Here!!!

OK, so I wasn't very good at tracking my pregnancy on here, but now my little bundle of joy has arrived and I am going to get better so that all you family and friends can get to know my munchkin! Here's an update.

This is me at 30 weeks:

And finally, meet Liam Thomas Appleby. Born November 29 (yes, that was his due date - he's a very good little boy!) at 10:10pm, weighing 7lbs 10oz, and measureing 51cm in length:

Here he is with Mommy, still in the delivery room:

I think he has Uncle James' and Lanny's long toes and fingers:
And their ears too!

OK, I'm back

So obviously I haven't done this in a really long time. A few things are new! I am now off of teaching dance for the summer (aside from a few part days at summer schools in the city) and am working again part time at Blacks Photo. I am enjoying the change to a light schedule as I am now 4 months pregnant!

For all those curious, I am not going to be teaching 5-6 days/week next season, but ony 3! Monday and Friday nights asd well as Saturdays. I'm really looking forward to the lighter teaching schedule and also to being a Mommy!

Calgary

I just got in from a quick trip to Calgary to visit my sister Anna. It was great to see her, we had lots of fun and I'm very happy for her (ask her why if you don't know). I got my christmas gifts, thank you Mom and Dad! I love evrything! Where did you find the frame??

The drive home was the downfall of the trip. I knew bad weather was expected, so I left fairly early thinking I could take my time in the daylight, but it was a horrible drive anyway! Blowing snow and strong winds, and bad drivers!!!

I also would have liked to see Lanny and Dan, but we couldn't get a hold of them, they must have been busy.

I think I'll have ahot bath and some hot chocolate now!

So, this is me...

I thought this might be a good way for my friends and family to keep up with my life, seeing as I don't have a ton of time to phone each of you regularly. My life isn't super exciting, but at least you won't feel left out of the loop.

Right now I'm teaching dance (jazz, tap, ballet, musical theater, lyrical) in a few locations in the Edmonton area. I work 5 days a week and in the mornings I take classes to continue my education in this ever-changing, never fully satisfied field. It can seem overwhelming at times, but I really do enjoy the work.

I'm about to enter my busy season, and when I look at the calander, I'm afraid! I wouldn't mind if the schedule was a little more spread-out through the year. I am looking forward to the performances that my students will have, at competitions and recitals.

Keeping a balance with this career can be difficult, and I feel very fortunate to have found a partner as understanding and supportive aas Nathan.
